My name is Gabriel Balaban. I am a medical AI researcher and biophysicist. At work, you will find me designing algorithms, analyzing medical data, and discussing the latest research with my students and colleagues. At the moment I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at Simula Research Laboratory in the Department of Computational Physiology. I am funded by the ProCardio Centre for Innovation, a Norwegian research consortium dedicated to using artificial intelligence to improve the treatment of heart diseases. I work closely with the Cardiology Department at Oslo University Hospital. Previously, I was a research fellow at King’s College London, St. Thomas Hospital site.
